Free Tote Bag Tutorial

Asymmetrical bags are my favorite!  Here's  one I completed about two weeks ago.

There is an inside zipper pocket on one side, and a large open pocket on the other, which  I divided  into two.

The straps have an a bit of asymmetrical work on them.    I added a "Beautiful" label to the front of the bag, as I really like the look of a label.

This free tote bag tutorial/pattern can be found at Haberdashery Fun.

  2. Thank you Carmen! I added the flap, zipper pocket, and large pocket, which wasn't on the original It would look good with or without them...all a matter of preference.

  3. Hi Linda, another great pattern! I like the changes you made. I prefer bags with lots of pockets inside, using the same inner pocket pattern on all purses I make. That way, I can arrange everything from purse to purse using this method, and not having to try remembering where I put everything!

  5. That is such an awesome bag Linda.
You know what would be great is a versatile/portable inside that fits into all the bags. If switch a bag you just pull out the inside with your pockets, zippers etc. and place it into your new bag! There's an idea!

    1. Thank you Pam! It's interesting you should say that. I was thinking a few days ago how I make bags with coordinating fabrics I like, rather than trying to make them so they would go with clothing.
